Mutation detection systems, DCode™
Electrophoresis Systems Mutation Detection Systems
The search for unknown mutations in genomic DNA is important for studying the genetic basis of diseases and disorders. Additionally examining DNA polymorphisms is useful for ecological and evolutionary studies of various organisms and microbial organisms. These can be done by DCode™ universal mutation detection system which can scan for single base changes by any of the following electrophoresis techniques which include single-stranded conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis, denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), constant denaturing gel electrophoresis (CDGE) and temporal temperature gradient gel electrophoresis (TTGE).

  • Temperature control options for electrophoresis runs from +5 to +70 °C
  • Technique-specific reagents and controls that are optimized for DGGE, CDGE, SSCP and TTGE
  • Specialised accessory kits

Electrophoresis system, that perform any combination of these techniques, which consists of temperature control module at the center which includes a microprocessor-controlled heater, a buffer recirculating pump and a stirrer. It also includes verical electrophoresis cell and choice of adaptor kits for SSCP, DGGE, CDGE and also for TTGE.

Delivery information: Complete system includes electrophoresis/temperature control module, sandwich core, kit to cast gels of indicated size and type (two sets of plates, two sets of clamps and spacers and two combs), control reagents and softwares WinMelt (PC) and MacMelt (Mac).
